To Be A Happy Memory Memories are wonderful ways That can let us remember her. How she touched us through the years, To be our sister, as it were. When she became a part of us, And laughed with us in happiness, And cried with us in our sorrow, And helped us to decide what’s best. Quietly, she was there for us, To accept our burden; to see What else there was left to enjoy, What a better person you could be. I wish I had told her before How very much she had meant to me, But, in my memories, I see The beauty of what she used to be. And we send along our prayers To be with her on her journey, To enclose her spirit with our love, To ever be a loved memory. M. Dolores Dennis, January 1995 A Memorial for a friend.
